The RDT EL Outboard system is a propulsion system for leisure boats. The installation location is normally at the stern of the boat on the transom. Other installation locations can be selected as long as the mounting is secure and follows this manual. The RDT EL Outboard systems have been designed in such a way that the power supply can be provided by generators or battery packs.
Our entry level outboard is the perfect solution for operators who are looking for an affordable solution with contains all functionalities they are looking for. The trim and tilt bracket is suitable for all standard steering cylinders available on the market. Therefore it is also a easy installable for refitting your boat!
The motor controller will be delivered separately and can be installed in a compartment close to the motor. The bracket contains five trimming positions to achieve the most efficient way of consuming your onboard power.

The Outboard can be used in a salt water environment. All materials are carefully selected to maintain optimal performance and endurance. However, this requires the use of an anode to protect the motor. For additional instructions please see the manual of the motor.
Technically the motor could be used with any battery as long as this can provide the necessary power. However, we are able to offer one of the lowest prices per Watt-hour available. Solid State or Lithium batteries offer more performance per unit of weight then lead-acid batteries. In case you are not convinced by RDT batteries, we still advise to contact us point to make sure the correct batteries are selected.
