New Rim Drive outboard motor with 15 kW power, suitable for boats up to approximately 5,500 kg displacement. Remote control, display, and batteries are available to match. IP68 waterproof. 48V, 230A.
The special feature compared to the normal RD outboard motor is the 320° rotation for easy docking and maneuvering with large boats. Steering wheel and joystick control possible. Optionally with intelligent steering system.

The Outboard can be used in a salt water environment. All materials are carefully selected to maintain optimal performance and endurance. However, this requires the use of an anode to protect the motor. For additional instructions please see the manual of the motor.
Technically the motor could be used with any battery as long as this can provide the necessary power. However, we are able to offer one of the lowest prices per Watt-hour available. Solid State or Lithium batteries offer more performance per unit of weight then lead-acid batteries. In case you are not convinced by RDT batteries, we still advise to contact us point to make sure the correct batteries are selected.
