Batteries

Most people arrive here one of two ways. If you already know your system voltage, go straight to 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V. If you are looking for a battery for an electric outboard, check first whether the motor expects a matched pack – ePropulsion drives communicate with their own batteries and will not report state of charge from anything else, while a general LiFePO4 battery from Epoch, RELiON or Victron runs almost anything you wire it to. Whichever route you take, pair it with a charger built for lithium – a lead-acid charge profile will shorten the life of any pack in this collection.
