Warranty Policy

Overview

This Warranty Policy explains the terms under which products purchased from M-Oceans are covered against defects. It applies to faults that develop during normal use, within the applicable warranty period.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under applicable consumer protection law, which may entitle you to certain remedies that cannot be excluded by contract.

If your item arrived damaged or you received the wrong product, that is handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy instead.


1. Warranty Coverage

Boats (inflatable, RIBs, etc.)
Covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the date of purchase.

Engines (outboard, inboard, and similar)
Covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Terms vary by manufacturer – see the brand list below for specific coverage. M-Oceans coordinates claims with the manufacturer or authorized service centre.

Marine parts & accessories
Covered against defects for 3–6 months, depending on the product and manufacturer policy.

Electrical & battery products
Warranties vary depending on the brand; please see specific product documentation.

  • Temo France (2 years) — warranty terms
  • ePropulsion (1 year + 1 extra year when registered online) — warranty terms
  • Rim Drive Technology (1 year) — warranty terms
  • Navigator Boats (5 years; see the warranty section at the end of the user manual) — user manual
  • Bark Boats & Pontoons (3 years; see the warranty section at the end of the user manual) — user manual
  • Tohatsu gas motors (5 years) — warranty terms
  • ThrustMe (2 years) — user manual
  • EcoFlow (2–10 years depending on the product) — warranty terms
  • Rocksolar (1 year) — warranty terms
  • Inflatable boat accessories without a brand name, supplied by M-Oceans — 1 year.


2. What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Failure of parts under normal use and proper maintenance
  • Replacement or repair of defective parts, at our or the manufacturer's discretion


3. What Is Not Covered

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper maintenance
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Damage due to saltwater corrosion, UV exposure, or environmental conditions beyond normal use
  • Transportation, haul-out, or on-site service costs unless required by law


4. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim:

  • Contact M-Oceans at sales@m-oceans.com with your order number, proof of purchase, and photos/videos of the defect.
  • We will review your claim and, if applicable, coordinate with the manufacturer or service centre.
  • If approved, you may be asked to return the defective product for inspection or service. Return shipping instructions will be provided.

⚠️ Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.


5. Remedies

Depending on the issue, remedies may include:

  • Repair of the defective product
  • Replacement with the same or equivalent product
  • Refund, if repair or replacement is not possible under applicable law


6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • M-Oceans and product manufacturers are not liable for incidental or consequential damages (such as loss of use, time, or commercial losses).
  • This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless stated otherwise by the manufacturer.


7. Your Consumer Rights

This Warranty does not limit your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law:

  • Canadian customers: the Consumer Protection Act of your province or territory, and applicable federal law.
  • U.S. customers: applicable federal and state consumer protection laws.

You may have additional legal rights that vary depending on where you live.
