Transparent Freight Pricing
No hidden fees at the door. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on product size & weight, delivery location, and carrier rates. We leverage preferred rates through Freightcom and major carriers.
Liftgate & Residential Delivery
Most boats and motors are too heavy to lift by hand and require a liftgate to lower the item from the truck to the ground. To avoid surprise carrier fees, please select "Residential Delivery" at checkout — this ensures the liftgate service is included in your shipping quote.
Heavy & Oversized Deliveries
For boats and large motors delivered via LTL freight carriers, your order is palletized and securely wrapped. Our team will contact you to coordinate delivery timing.
Coverage Area
-
Canada – all provinces (Standard coverage). We ship to every province and territory. Remote and fly-in communities may have extended transit times and/or an additional freight surcharge, which will be communicated at checkout or upon inquiry.
-
United States – most areas (Most locations). We ship throughout the contiguous USA. Certain remote or restricted locations may not qualify. Alaska and Hawaii are available by quote only. Duties and brokerage are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
-
International shipping: Need delivery outside Canada or the USA? We can organize that for custom projects. Just keep in mind that you'll be responsible for covering any customs, duties, brokerage fees, and additional logistics costs. Reach out to us before placing your order so we can iron out the exact details.
Packaging Standards
-
Outboard motors: We pack your motors in heavy-duty cardboard boxes with plenty of foam and plastic cushioning inside. If a motor is heavy enough to need freight shipping, we make sure it’s bolted or strapped down tight to a pallet.
-
Inflatable boats: We carefully fold the boats, secure them to a pallet, and shrink-wrap them tightly in protective black film. The freight carrier labels the whole pallet and tracks it every step of the way.
-
Accessories & parts: These go in standard shipping boxes. For anything fragile or high-value, we make sure to add extra bubble wrap and corner guards for the ride.

Want to save on shipping? You can choose to pick up your order at a local transport terminal. This is often the safest and most cost-effective method for oversized goods.
Delivery – What To Expect And What To Do
-
Tracking: A tracking number is emailed once your order ships. For LTL freight, the carrier will typically contact you to schedule a delivery window.
-
Inspect before signing: Examine every item before signing the delivery receipt. If you see damage, you must write "Product Damaged" on the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing – this is required to support any damage claim.
-
Report damage quickly: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery if you discover freight damage. (For returns of undamaged items, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.)
Special Orders & Pre-Order Items
Items sourced directly from manufacturers
Some specialty or high-demand products must be ordered directly from the manufacturer. Because these are specialized goods, your preliminary order secures your spot in the manufacturer’s production line, with M-Oceans handling all the import logistics. In these cases:
-
Once your payment or deposit clears, we immediately place the order with the factory on your behalf.
-
Lead times depend entirely on the manufacturer's own production and shipping schedules.
-
M-Oceans will confirm the estimated timeline with you and provide updates as they become available.
-
Delivery terms for these items are agreed upon at the time of ordering.
