Floors and keels across the 11 ft range

GALA sells the same 330 cm hull with two different floors, which makes the choice easy to see: the F330 with solid aluminum floorboards, or the F330A with a high-pressure air deck. Same tubes, same keel, 15 kg apart in the bag.

Navigator takes the rigid route. The LK 330 runs a hard aluminum deck over an inflatable keel – 118 lb, four chambers, 990 lb capacity, 15 hp ceiling.

Bark covers the entry end. The BT-330S is slatted and light; the BT-330SD adds a hard deck for a few hundred dollars more.

Kolibri sits at both extremes. The KM-330 is flat-bottomed with an air deck and no keel, which keeps it cheap and simple. The KM-330D is their most popular model for a reason – marine plywood floor reinforced with aluminum stringers, proper inflatable keel, four people on a 15 hp motor.

Power for an 11 ft hull

Most 330 cm boats recommend 15 hp. The ceiling varies by model – the Navigator LK 330 caps at 15 hp (11.2 kW), while the GALA F330 will take 20. Shaft length is 15-inch short across the range.

That power band has a paperwork consequence. Transport Canada requires a Pleasure Craft Licence once the engine reaches 10 hp (7.5 kW), and since 15 hp is the recommended figure at this size, most 11 ft owners will need one. The Pleasure Craft Operator Card is separate and applies regardless of motor size.

Electric works here, with honest expectations. The LK 330 paired with an ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus is a quiet-water package – 1 kW moves a 330 cm hull at displacement speed for hours, and it stays under the licensing threshold. For a loaded boat or moving water, step up to a Navy 3.0 Evo at roughly 6 hp equivalent. On the gas side, a Tohatsu 9.9 or 15 is the standard match.

Running an 11 ft tender from a yacht or sailboat

At 11 ft you're generally past the point of stowing a tender in a cockpit locker. A 70 kg boat with floorboards belongs on davits or a foredeck.
